Area of Momin Prohod

Spa resort of Momin prohod is part of town of Kostenets (Sofia district). In the past it was one of the well-known spa centers in Bulgaria. Now (2007) the resort is a bit declined but with great potential because the mineral water springs, fresh air, mix of pine and oak forests around and closeness to Borovets ski resort.
The water of Momin Prohod is second to that of the Narechenski Bani spa in its radioactivity. Its fame Momin Prohod owes to the achievements of the local specialists in the healing of diseases of the respiratory, the cardiovascular, the nervous and the digestive systems, of metabolic and different kinds of allergic conditions.
