The Municipality consists of 1 village - Chelopech. It is situated to the south of the Balkan Range in the Zlatitsa - Pirdop Valley. The Vozdol River, a left tributary of the Topolnitsa River - flows through the Municipality Chelopech. The climate is moderate-continental affected by Sredna Gora Mountain and the Balkan Range. Two ore deposits have been found in the Chelopech field: the Chelopech deposit - the largest and richest copper-gold-pyrites deposit, and the Vozdol deposit. The territory of Chelopech Municipality is serviced by road and railway transport. The Republican road network is represented by main road 1-6 Sofia - Bourgas. Chelopech Municipality has well developed production structure and dynamics.
