village of Lipnitsa, Botevgrad region

The calm village of Lipnitsa (Sofia District) is located in South-West Bulgaria and is part of Municipality Botevgrad. It consists of 22 small hamlets picturesque hudled in the beautiful Botevgrad valley (Stara Planina mountain), 24 km North from the beautiful town of Botevgrad (municipal center) and 70 km away from the capital of Bulgaria - Sofia city.
The climate is mild and the nature is beautiful. The area is appropriate for fishing, hunting and rural tourism because the mountains, forests (old ages pine and oak trees) and a small river that pass Lipnitsa. 3km South from the village were found remains of ancient fortresses "Panitsa kale" and "Gradishteto".
