 The town of Batanovtsi (Pernik District) is located in South-West Bulgaria and is included in municipality Pernik. It is situated 33 km away from the capital city of Sofia, 6 km away from the district center town of Pernik and 5km away from the town of Radomir.
In the period 1950-1991 it`s name was Temelkovo in honor of communist figure Temelko Nenkov but after the fall of the communist regime the name Batanovtsi was restored. There are bus connections to town of Pernik and villages around and a railway station.
