The village of Kovachevtsi (Pernik District) is located in South-West Bulgaria, along the valley of the Svetlya river, 28 km to the west of the town of Radomir. It is municipal center of municipality with same name - Kovachevtsi. Kovachevtsi is mentioned in a document dated 1676 under the name of Kovachovcha. The river Svetlja flows through the whole municipality and runs into Pchelina Dam 3 km southern from Kovachevtsi. The tourists are fascinated by natural diversity there.
