Village of Gorni Koriten

The village of Gorni Koriten  is located in north west part of Kraishte area of Kyustendil District (South-West Bulgaria) between the mountains Kobilskata (peak Chardack - 1312m), Milevskata (peak Milevets - 1733m) and Penkovkata mountain (Konski peak 1187m). It is included in Municipality Treklyano and is at 33 km from district center town of Kyustendil (direction village of Treklyano). The neighborhood places are villages of Dolni Koriten (3km), Ushi (4km) and Treklyano (9.6km). There are idea for new border checkpoint to Serbia (will be situated in Slavcheto area).
Part of the area of Gorni Koriten is included in European ecological project Natura 2000.
