Ilinden, Hadjidimovo

The village of Ilinden (Blagoevgrad district) is a mountain village located in South-western Bulgaria. It is part of the municipality Hadjidimovo. Until 1951 the name of the village is Libyahovo. Ilinden is situated at the foot of South Pirin mountain, 15 km away from the town of Gotze Delchev. It is a border village - 3 kilometers away is situated the border checkpoint Ilinden - Exochi (Greece), opened since 1912, stopped in 1945 and run again nowadays (Dec 2005). The village is suitable for rural tourism.
