The village of Ablanitsa (650m above sea level) is located in South-West Bulgaria and is part of Hadjidimovo Municipality, Blagoevgrad District. It is situated between rivers Mesta and Bistritsa at distance 9 km east from town of Hadzhidimovo and 22 km south-east from town of Gotse Delchev. The climate is transitional-Mediterranean. Ablanitza was founded thousand years ago (in 976) and has rich history. The name of the village has Roman origin and come from combination of words Ablan (white) and Nitsa (clay). There are a lot of ancient finds near the village of Ablanitsa.
