Village of Boyadjik, Tundzha municipality

The village of Boyadjik is located in South-East Bulgaria. It is part of Tundzha Municipality (the second largest municipality of Bulgaria), Yambol District. The village is at distance 20 km from Yambol, 80 km from Stara Zagora, 50 km from Sliven, 120 km form the South Black sea coast and the coastal town of Bourgass.
The village of Boiadjik has very old history (the name is connect with the Bulgarian history). Two years before the Liberation of Bulgarian from Turkish slavery (in 1876) - at the time of "Apri uprising", the village had been burnt down and the population was killed.
The village of Boiadjik is birthplace of John Atanasoff – the computer inventor. At the time of "Boiadjik slaughtering" - 1876 years. He was on three mounts, he is thrown upon the world but by some miracle he survived. Djon Atanasov immigrated to America - barely at the age of 13. After years of hard work and teaching, he made a world invention – the computer.
