The town of Straldja is located in South-East Bulgaria. It is part of Straldja Municipality, Yambol District. I is settled in the east part of Bulgaria, at the distance of 23 km. west of Karnobat, at about 30 km. east of Sliven and about at 17 km. northeast of Yambol. The first information about the town is found in Ottoman documents. The century history of the town is proved because of the remains from Thracian and medieval settlements. Later the settlement developed as a transport, economic and administrative center due to its geographic location – the town of Straldja is at main roads, which connect the Black Sea with North and South Bulgaria. There are open mineral springs near the town Straldzha, village of Stefan Karadjovo, and village of Pravdino.
