It is part of Bolyarovo Municipality, Yambol District. The village is at distance 18 km from town of Boliarovo and 80 km from the Black Sea town of Bourgas. The Strandja mountains form the climate of Stefan Karadjovo - transcontinental with Mediterranean influence. This area benefits from its mild climate and healthy air suitable for recreation. The village of Stefan Karadjovo is popular for a sanatorium complex (has 240 beds) and a medicinal spring. The curative qualities of the water are very like to these of "Karlovi vari" - Czech Republic and to "Kislovodsk" – Russia. Hhydrocarbonate – magnesium mineralized water is recommended for hard-attacks, kidney- urological and stomach-diseases. There are mineral baths in the village of Stefan Karadzhovo.
