The village of Velika (Bourgas District) is located in South-East Bulgaria and is included in Municipality Tsarevo. It is situated at the foot of the Strandja Mountains, 65 kilometers south of the city of Burgas and 4 km from the spacious beaches of the seaside village of Lozenets. The old name of the village of Velika was Poturnak. Except for people willing to have both holiday at sea and mountain at one time, but to escape the noise in well-known sea resorts, Velika is suitable also for lovers of fishing because the proximity (4 km) of the Black Sea and a two lakes and a river located near by.
