The village of Rusokastro is located in South-East Bulgaria and belongs to the Municipality Kameno (Bourgas District). It is situated at 25 km from municipal center town of Kameno, 25 km from city of Burgas, 40 km from the seaside resorts Pomorie, Aheloy, Ravda, Nesebur and Sunny Beach. The villages, near by are: Jeliazovo, Livada, Troyanovo, Trastikovo.
Rusokastro has rich history. Soon was started excavations of the ancient fortress and town of Rusokastro. The battle of Rusokastro between Bulgaria and Byzantium occurred on 18 July 1332 on the fields near the fortress and finish with Bulgarian victory.
