The village of Gorno Sahrane is located on an asphalt road 8 km north of the town of Pavel Banya and 3 km north of the sub-Balkan transport artery. The most important event in the village of Gorno Sahrane is the Karakachans gathering, which is takes place on St. Elija’s Day. The village is also interesting for its crafts – there are three woodcarvers in the village. There is a mini zoo in the central part of the Gorno Sahrane. It successfully competes with the zoo in Sofia – the capital of Bulgaria. Here in the local zoo the guests in the village can see jaguars, lamas, does, deer, crocodiles, tortoises, eagles, pheasants, wild ducks, ostriches, pelicans, Japanese roosters, guinea hens and other exotic animals. An Ethnographic exhibition, containing authentic vessels and items typical for the Bulgarian way of life through the centuries, is arranged in the Community center of the village.
