Center of GalabovoThe town of Gulabovo (Stara Zagora District) is located in South-Central Bulgaria and is center of the Municipality Galabovo. It is situated in the southeastern part of the Upper Thracian Plain, 30 km away from the admin center city of Stara Zagora, 200km away from Black sea city of Burgas and 100km away from Plovdiv city.
The region is economically important due to the extraction of coal and production of electricity in the region. The Maritsa Iztok-1 power plant is situated nearby.
