Village of Progled, Chepelare

The village Progled (Smolyan district) is located 4 kilometers from ski resort of Pamporovo and is the closest village to the mountain famous resort of Bulgaria. Located on a picturesque site the village offers unforgettable memories both during summer and winter. In a short distance away from Progled are situated White Sea /70 kilometres/, the Plovdiv Airport /80 kilometres/, the capital of Bulgaria Sofia /200 kilometres/.
There are numerous chapels that surround the village with the most notable ones being St. Spas, St. Marina, St. Illia and Chapel of the Holy Ghost. On July 27th there is a traditional local celebration that brings in people from all over who originated in Progled. The atmosphere of this village makes it perfect for relaxation during the summer and skiing in the winter because of the close proximity to Pamporovo.
Nearby is an exotic marsh named Kutsinsko Blato which contains plants unique to this region such as the Rhodopean Lilly. Around the village of Progled in a range of 40 kilometres are situated a lot of historical sites such as "Diavolskoto Garlo", "Trigradskoto Jdrelo", "Chudnite mostove", "Skalite na Orfei".
