Chepelare municipality covers an area of 384 sq. km - 73% of it - forests, 14% - common pastures, 11% - arable land. Pamporovo , one of Bulgaria`s two main international ski resorts as well as town of Chepealre and 10 villages - Pavelsko , Hvoina , Zabardo , Malevo , Orehovo , Bogoutevo , Ostritsa , Lilekovo , Zornitsa , Progled are located on the rest 2% of the area. Chepelare municipality cover 25 000 ha and more than 70% of the forests are private property.
