The village of Markovo (Plovdiv District) is located in South-Central Bulgaria and is included in Municipality Rodopi. It is situated 11km south from city of Plovdiv at the foot of Chernatitsa elevations from where is beautiful view to the Plovdiv field. Immediately above the village start national park Rodopi where several resorts are located (Zdravets, Studenets, Byala Cherkva). Markovo is very well developed and in the last years focus attention for more and more investments. It is the richest village in the Plovdiv district (facetiously the village is named Beverley Hills of Plovdiv) .
