Maritsa Municipality is located in the South Central Plannign Region, on the north bank of the Maritsa River. It occupies a strategic central place in the territory of Plovdiv District.
On the teritory of Marica municipality are disposed about 160 km Road network, 45 km railways (there are 4 railway stations - Tsaratsovo, Benkovski, Troud and Graf Ignatievo). There is regular bus transport from all population centers to the regional centre.
