Hissarya municipality is situated on the southern slopes of Sredna Gora Mountain, at 360 m altitude above sea level. The climate is transitional continental with hot summer, mild winter, warm spring and autumn. The precipitation is less than the average for Bulgaria. The snow cover is short-lasting - it stays for 28 days on average.
