The village of Cherven (Plovdiv district) is located in the foot of the Rhodopes Mountain (South-Central Bulgaria) and is included in municipality Asenovgrad. It is situated 27 km South-East from Plovdiv and 10 km South-East from Asenovgrad. The region is semi-mountainous with many forests and is suitable for fans of hunting and fishing. There are several artificial lakes near by: dam of Sushitsa (6 km) dam of Topolovo (8 km), dam of The 40-springs (3 km) , dam of Lenovo (9 km) and dam of Bryagovo (12 kilometers).
There are many objects of interest near the village of Cherven which is a prerequisite for the development of tourism in the region: Bachkovo Monastery - 15 km, Monastery of Sveta Petka (muldavski Monastery) - 4 km, Monastery Sveta Nedelya (Arapovski Monastery) - 10 km., Krastova forest area - 30 km, Assen`s Fortress - 10 km, rock phenomena Belintash - 18 kilometers and more.
