Municipality of Bratzigovo is located in the western part of the Rhodopes (Osogovo-Rodopi zone) and covers an area of about 221 sq. km. The municipality comprises from its municipal center town of Bratzigovo and 6 villages. It has common borderlines with the municipalities of Krichim, Peshtera, Batak and Devin. The relief of Bratsigovo region is mountainous with altitude between 300 and 1,400 m. Forest fund covers an area of 5 288.2 hectares. There is a biological reserve called "Kupena" (1761.1 hectares), protected areas, and historical sites. In the mountainous part of the municipality there are two resorts - "Atoluka` and "Rozovski Vriz". Despite the natural resources and places of interest like preserved ecological environment, reserves, interesting sites, mineral water.
