BatakThe town of Batak is located in Western Rhodopes (South-Central Bulgaria). It is part of Batak Municipality, Pazardjik District. Batak is 156 km south-east of the capital Sofia.
This is a town with very rich history connected mostly with the tragic fate of April uprising its great sacrifice of life. Interest for visitors are also churches Sveta Bogoroditsa and Sveta Nedelya. The beautiful surroundings offer exciting tourist routes. Other place of interest is Batak Dam – 8 km from the town, that is ideal spot for camping and fish fans.
