The village of Studen kladenets (Kardjali District) is located in South-Central Bulgaria and is included in Municipality Krumovgrad. It is situated next to the Arda river and is only 2 km away from the "Studen Kladenec" dam wall. There are a number of local natural sights and historical sites. "Valchi Dol" reserve is located next to the village territory. The climate is semi-Mediterranean and the geographic position of the region (the warm Aegean sea is only 60km away) and the low population density are preconditions for the rich diversity of representatives from the flora and fauna. Studen Kladenets has the greatest perspectives for ecotourism development (eco routes, hiking, trekking, birds-watching) in Kroumovgrad municipality.
The Christian and Muslim population living together, and also the preservation of some pagan rites create unique local culture.
