The village of Stambolovo is located in South-Central Bulgaria. It is center of Stambolovo Municipality (Haskovo District). There are remains of Thracian civilisation at the area of the all of the municiaplity. Near the village of Stambolovo (in area named Dvete Chuki) was found ancient thracian chariot and clay vessels.
The main occupation of the local people is tobacco but region also is well known with its wines.
