The village of Bolyarski izvor (Haskovo District) is located in South-Central Bulgaria and is part of Municipality Harmanli. It is situated 24.5 km south of town of Harmanli, in the northern foot of East-Rhodopean elevation Gorata (the Forest). The old name of the village was "Bay bunar". In 1906 it was renamed to "Bolyarski izvor" (Boliarski well).
There are traces for life in the land of village from prehistoric times. 500 m northwest of the village, in area of "Gyol chair", large settlement mound of Neolithic Age and (VII-VI BC) is situated. Old Roman road with unknown age passes near village of Bolyarski izvor.
