The village of Bogomil (Haskovo District) is located in South-Central Bulgaria and is part of Municipality Harmanli. It is situated in south-western slopes of the Sakar mountain and lies close to the road connecting towns Harmanli and Topolovgrad. The old name of the village is Teketo, and the new dates since 1906, when by Decree the village was renamed.
The main landmark in the land of the village is Teketo (kind of religious building). At Teke bair elevation, between village of Bogomil and village of Ovcharovo, remains of fortresses and settlements from the early age (I-V XII century BC) were found.
