Village of Biser, Harmanli region

The village of Biser (Haskovo District) is located in South-Central Bulgaria and.is included in Municipality Harmanli. It is situated near the river Biserska (right tributary of the Maritsa River), 13.7 km southeast of the town of Harmanli. Till 1906 it`s name was Indzhelii and then was renamed by Decree to Biser. Close to the village passes the international road and railway Sofia - Istanbul.
In the vicinity of the village Biser there are 12 unexplored mounds that evidence of life in these places since Thracian times.
