Village of Tsarevets

The village of Tsarevets (Vratsa District) is located in North-West Bulgaria and is included in Municipality Mezdra. It is situated 4km away from town of Mezdra and 24km away from town of Vratsa. There is a local daily bus service at regular intervals from Mezdra.
Landmarks of village of Tsarevets: There are ancient remains near the village as the medieval graffiti (2 km south of the village in the "Govedarnika" locality) and the Late Antique fortress "Gradishteto". The fortress is situated about 2-3 km to the Northeast of the village, on an elevation that offers a panoramic view to the river valley. The walls could be easily traced and they enclose a surface with a trapezoidal layout. In the interior some more remains of buildings could be seen.
