Village of Staro selo

The village of Staro selo (Vratsa District) is located in North-West Bulgaria and is included in Municipality Mezdra (6-7 km from town of Mezdra). Is is a small, ancient, totally unspoiled village with small number of residents and old buildings (staro selo means old village), situated  in area with wonderful mountainous forests, rivers and caves. There are some Eco-paths throughout the region that are perfect for rural tourism. Prehistoric remains and Byzantine treasure circa 5th century AD have been found around Staro Selo.
There are regular buses from the towns of Roman and Mezdra.
