Moravitsa, Mezdra

The village of Moravitsa (Vratsa District, Municipality Mezdra) is located in south part of North-West Bulgaria in Mezdra valley. It is situated at 11km from town of Vratsa, 4 km from municipal center town of Mezdra and 86km from Bulgarian capital Sofia. The valley is enclosed from Veslets ridge (North), Strupeshkata hill (East), Iskar gorge (South) and Vratsa Balkan (West). Near Moravitsa runs the river Moraveshka bara and there are also some rivers in Mezdra valley that are close to the village: river Tserovek (rises from village of Ruska Bela), Darvodelska bara (rises from village of Kostalevo), Krapeshka bara (village of Krapets), Kamenitsa river and others.
