Residents of the village and in the region claim that village of Osen is the birthplace of the poet and revolutionary Hristo Botev (officially: he is born in town of Kalofer). Basis of these claims gives Botev, who in one of his works said: "These feelings I felt when I entered in my native village of Osen near Vratza". In 80 years of the twentieth century the local population was placed a monument of Hristo Botev, on which is engraved same quote.
Sightseeing: - There is a century spring in the village center. In 1921 it was captured and a large fountain with two bowls and length about 15 meters was built. - Church, built in 1884 with the volunteer work and donations from local people - Memorial of Died for the Liberation of Bulgaria. - Monument of Hristo Botev
