The town of Byala Slatina is situated in North-West Bulgaria, in The Danube Hilly Plain, upon the ledges of the Skat River, at altitude 126 m. It has a central position in Northwest Bulgaria and is at almost equal distances from the Danube River and the Fore Balkan. It is located in the Vratsa district, at the centre of the triangle formed by the towns Vratsa, Montana and Pleven. It is 46 km to the northeast from the administrative centre Vratsa. Byala Slatina is a railway station of the Cherven Bryag - Oryahovo track and a much-used bus connection. The climate is temperately continental. The summer heats are long-lasting, and the winters are cold. The average annual temperature is 10-12оС. The northeast winds are prevalent.
