Town of Byala Slatina (Vratsa District) is located in the center of northwestern Bulgaria upon the ledges of the Skat River, at altitude 126 m. It is situated at almost equal distances from the Danube River and the Fore Balkan Mountain, 48 km northeast of the administrative center town of Vratza. The town is the center of Byala Slatina Municipality and a station on the railway line Cherven Bryag - Oryahovo.
The climate is continental. In the summer there are long heats and in the winter it is very cold with lots northeast winds. The average annual temperature is 10-12`C.
