The village of Dolni Boshnyak (Vidin district) is located in North-West Bulgaria and is included in municipality Vidin. It is situated 23.4 km. west of Vidin. Neighbouring villages of Dolni Boshnyak are villages of Kalenik, Topolovets and Rabrovo. Place is suitable for fishing-manicas because river of Topolvets passes through the village.
Main sight around is the Albotin rock monastery, situated located 3 km. West from Dolni Boshnyak.
The village has a sad history: 300 years ago there was terrible plague befell the village and then most of people found their death by a terrible disease. To prevent more infections all the belongings of people were thrown into the deepest well and then the well was covered.
