History: Legend says that the first inhabitant of the village was settled in the area of the little spring "Klenyaka". The name Tolovitsa comes from the name of his wife. Tolovitsa is the birthplace of the leader of the Belogradchik uprising in 1850 - chorbadji Tzolo Todorov, whose house is now restored and turned into a museum. In the suppression of the uprising he was beheaded by the Turks.
