History: The oldest evidence of settlement around the village of Vrav date from the early Bronze Age, around 3 century BC .About a I century, when the territory of modern Bulgaria was part of the Roman Empire, near the village of Vruv and town of Bregovo, was a part from the Roman legions, protecting the northwest frontier of the empire from incursions of the tribes north of the Danube. For this purpose there was built a small fort (castle) and settlement (vikus) known as "Dortikum", and the local Thracian population was Romanized. In VIII - X century there appeared little Slav-Bulgarian settlement.
