The city of Belogradchik is located in the
northwestern part of Bulgaria, 55 kilometers away from Vidin, and 70
kilometers from Montana. It
is picturesquely spread over the western part of the Stara Planina Mountain, in
the southwestern foot of the Belogradchik garland, at 545m
above sea level. For the initial centuries, since the emergence of
Belogradchik, written documents and sources are absent. Archeological studies
