Since it is remembered, Mokresh is composed of two villages - Mokresh and Dushilnica. From 2.12.1950 Mokresh and Dushilnica are declared for one village called Mokresh. The village was once known as the Small Paris because of its size and the intelligent people, always dressed fashionable and well educated
Region Mokresh has rich history. There was a life even in the Stone - Copper Age and In Thracian and Roman times. In this place were living the Mizians, from where came the name Mizia.
Sights and landmarks: the church `St. Nicola` - Over its entrance is build in a nice marble slab with an inscription, embossed with a relief, that represents Diana hunting. The slab is 150 cm high and 73 cm wide. In the corners of the stab, like a frame, vine leaves and grapes are carved.
