e village of Palilula (Montana District) is located in North-West Bulgaria and is included in Municipality Boychinovtsi. It is secluded tiny (name Pali-lula means "light a pipe" and is the time it takes to walk across the place) village situated in wonderful countryside, 1km away from a river (suitable for fishing and swimming) and surrounded by wooded hills and large primeval forest. Although it is small - Palilula has a railway station with 6 trains each day. In ancient times the village was a famous stopping place between Vratsa and the Danube port of Lom. There is a delightful recently renovated church, with new frescoes and icons throughout.
