The village of Ohrid (Montana District) is located in North-West Bulgaria and is included in Municipality Boychinovtsi. It is a pleasant small village that consists from two hamlets Goren (Upper) and Dolen (Lower) Ohrid which are surrounded by hills. A large river divides the village from Lower Ohrid. The village is situated 14km away from town of Krividol, 20 km from town of Montana and 115km from city of Sofia. There is railway station at 2.5km away. The village has impressive stone church with important icons and a colossal bell (shipped from Georgia to Ohrid, Macedona but at all get there). Other Landmarks: Several surrounding important archaeological sites from prehistoric through to medieval times; an ancient large village with extensive remains of the famous Thracian Tribe of the Tribali, dating back 3,000 years.
