The small village of Pesochnitsa (Montana District) is located in North-West Bulgaria 12 km away from the town of Berkovitsa. It belongs to the Municipality of Berkovitsa and is situated 4km from the main road from Berkovica to Montana (there is a branch for Pesochnica and Bokilovci). The village is surrounded by hills and the scenery is very beautiful. There is evidence of the existence of the village of Pesocnitsa during the conquering of Bulgaria by the Ottoman Empire.
