The village of Popina (Silistra District) is located in North-East Bulgaria and is included in Municipality Sitovo. It is situated on the south side of Danube river between town of Silsitra and town of Toutrakan. The village is well-known with its fruitful apricot orchards. There are ideas for developing of Yacht quay in village of Popina.
Landmarks of Popina: the church "Sveti Georgi pobedonosets", ancient remains from Roman camp (Kaleto), founded Thracian artifacts in area of "Drencheto", protected nature preserve "The Garvan Marsh" (situated between villages of Garvan and Popina), etc.
