The village of Aydemir (Silistra district) is located in Aydemirska valley in North-East Bulgaria and is included in Municipality Silistra. It is situated 8km west from district center - town of Silistra and 3 km south of Danube river. The main road Silistra - Rousse pass through the village. Aydemir is the village with greatest population in Bulgaria. For limited time in the past village was named Knyaz Hassenski in honour of prince Alexander Battenberg. Nowadays new ferryboat is in process of building (2007) near the village of Aydemir.
