The town of Varbitsa is located in North-East Bulgaria. It is center of Varbitsa Municipality (Shoumen District). Vurbitsa town is at 430 m altitude above sea level. It is situated on the two banks of the Gerilla River. In the foot of the Eastern Balkan Range at a distance of 5 km from the town is the Varbitsa resort, known under the name "The Mineral Water". The mineral water has healing properties suitable for gastro-intestinal disorders.
