The village of Pobit kamak is located in Razgrad District (North-East Bulgaria) and belongs to the Municipality Razgrad. It is situated 18 km from town of Razgrad. Through the middle of the village passes the road Razgrad - Zavet. The village exists since 1880 when settlers mountaineers came from Gabrovo. It was named after the upright stone at its centre that can be seen even today / "pobit kamak" means "an upright stone"/. Many old houses which keep alive the unique atmosphere of the past centuries are preserved. Landmarks: The Ethnographic Complex in the village of Pobit Kamak is situated on an area of 0.4 ha and includes three restored Renaissance houses. They represent a typical Bulgarian mountain home of that time. There are displays in each house that represent old crafts. All exhibits have been donated by local inhabitants. Important part of the complex is a restored wind mill.
