Kroushari Municipality is situated in the northeastern part of the Republic of Bulgaria in Dobrich district. To the north it borders on the Republic of Romania. The municiaplity consists of 19 villages with municipal center village of Krushari. The fertile land and the favorable climate in municipality Krushari are conducive to the development of agriculture and stockbreeding. With its varied relief, which is not typical for the flat part of Dobroudzha, the municiaplity may attract the interest of tourists, hunters and fishermen. The forests are inhabited by red deer, roe, wild boar, pheasant, partridge, quail, turtle dove, hare and others. The micro-dam lake near Abrit village and the micro-dam lake near Onogour village along the course of the Souha Reka River are the best places for fishing. The municipal facilities in the Ikantlaka locality near Balchik town offer wonderful opportunities for marine tourism.
