The village Chelopechene (Dobrich District) is located in North-Eastern region of Bulgaria and is part of the municipality of Kavarna. Its is situated 58km away from town of Dobrich, 12km away from town of Kavarna and 64km away from Varna city. Around the village were found several Thracian tombs and many ancient finds - pottery, coins and more that are currently stored in museums in town of Dobrich and in the neighboring village Vranino. Near the village of Chelopechene was found also an ancient Thracian settlement and the statue of goddess of fertility Kibela (Great Goddess Mother).
