Dobrich-city municipality is located in North-East Bulgaria in Dobrich District. The town is an industrial-agrarian and transport center of the Dobroudzha region, one of the ten biggest cities in Bulgaria - an important economic, administrative and cultural center of the Northeastern economic region of Bulgaria. Situated on a plane terrain cut by the valley of the Souha Reka River, Dobrich City Municipality has a specific status and its territory is covered by the land belonging to one single population center, namely Dobrich city. The road network of Dobrich gives access to sea and river ports, RO-RO terminals and Varna civil airport. There is a ring-road around the city, which takes up the continuous cargo transit traffic towards Varna, Albena, Balchik, General Toshevo, Silistra, Shoumen, and Rousse.
