OreshThe village of Oresh (Veliko Turnovo District) is located in North-Central Bulgaria and belongs to the Municipality Svishtov. It situated at 7km south from Danube river betwwen towns of Svishtov and Belene. All of the population profess Catholic faith and there is Catholic church "Bezkverno zachateie na Deva Maria" built in 1857. Oresh has old history. It was grown as settlement in I century when it was a Roman path station between fortreses Dimum (Belene) and Nove (Svishtov).
