The village of Kalipetrovo is located in North-East Bulgaria. It is included in Municipality Silistra and is at distance of 7km from town of Silistra. Kalipetrovo is second largest village in Silistra province after village of Aydemir. In the past name of the village was Stanchevo. The current name Kalipetrovo is derived from "kali Petar" (handsom Petar). There is regular town bus line Silistra - Kalipetrovo.
